Directors Independent Funeral Service Anne Palmer Vetter 1930 2004 Our dearly loved wife, mother and grandmother, Anne Marie Palmer Vetter, died peacefully on April 8, 2004.

Her death ended a long and courageous battle with Hepatitis of which she rarely, if ever, complained. Anne was born at home in Kaysville, Utah on February 19, 1930 to Joseph and Elma Palmer. She was the youngest of four children (Erla Young, Bud, and Bill (deceased)). When she was young, her family lived briefly in Washington D.C., then later settled in the Highland Park area of Salt Lake City. Anne was loved by all she met.

She was beautiful inside and out with a kind and gentle nature that simply radiated. She graduated from East High School in 1946, then went on to the University of Utah where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Anne married Edward I. Vetter, September 1, 1949 in Salt Lake. She led a richly rewarding life filled with family, friends, travel, beauty and purpose.

Anne was a natural caretaker and devoted mother. She and Ed were blessed with four children, Mindy Nelson (Eric), Teresa, Carrie Warburton Steve) and Rusty (Phyllis). Her close family was her joy: Anne adored her role as "Grammy" and cherished every moment she spent with her nine grandchildren. She loved cooking dinners, family trips and games, summers on Hebgen Lake, and relaxing at the family cabin in Park City. Mom loved and encouraged "gracious" living.

She was always a warm, generous and unpretentious hostess. Her children's friends, neighbors, repair-people, relatives and anyone she met, felt welcome in her home. She had a tender heart for pets and especially loved her "Westie" puppies. She was an example to all of us when facing difficult times; always willing to sacrifice for loved ones while never losing enthusiasm for life.
