Alterations Expert Alterations by Julie Gramer Persico                 You now have your gown.  It’s that time to make it fit your body perfectly by getting quality alterations.  Be sure to budget for quality alteration.  Expect to pay a flat fee around $400 or more at other seamstresses or tailors.  Reasonable rates can be found at JewelsFunWear.  We only charge for the alterations being done i.e. Bustle, hem. Remove train, etc.  There is no flat fee.  All service includes pressing and steaming.  Your gown will be presented to you when finished pressed and stuffed with tissue on a cardboard bust form.  You will be given a cloth bridal bag to take your gown home in.                   The alteration process takes about 6 – 8 weeks before your wedding date. (bridesmaids take less time 2 – 4 weeks before)  It is very important not to start too early.  You could experience weight loss or gain as your day draws near.                   If you plan to have your gown dry cleaned allow 2 extra weeks.  Time between fittings can be 2 – 3 weeks.  You may choose longer or shorter (if time is available).  Whatever works within your schedule.
Phone  847-975-2427  FAX 815-609-9236 Location 24611 Tufton Street, Plainfield, IL 60585 Hours 10 - 5 Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:30 - 5 Tuesday, Thursday 10 - 4 Saturday times vary	At your 1st fitting appointment a check list of everything to be done on the gown is created.  At this appointment you will be required to fill out a form and a $50 deposit is will be collected.  Basic alterations are letting out or taking in side seams, hem, bustle, bra cups.  More involved alterations are cutting off or shortening the train, slimming the skirt, making a sweetheart neckline, lowering he back, adding or removing buttons require more time.                   At your final fitting the balance will be paid.  You will schedule a pick up date.  Your gown will be perfect stuffed with tissue on a cardboard bust form.  Be sure to have a place to keep your gown before the wedding free from pets, smoke, the groom, etc.  You may keep your gown here in storage as long as you like.                    If you have further questions call 847-975-2427 or email jewelsfunwear@gmail.com
